Meet Colleen Senglaub
Consultant, Digital Account Manager
The backstory
Colleen has been around tourism her whole life, growing up in the Foothills of the Adirondacks, between Lake George and Saratoga Springs, NY. She grew up in an area that would transform in the summertime as people worldwide came to experience the place she called home.
She fell in love with traveling in 2019 when she studied abroad in Ireland. During her time in Europe, she was determined to see as much as possible and visited 14 different countries while studying at the University of Limerick.
Meanwhile, she was pursuing a degree in Media Management from St. John Fisher College and had developed a passion for storytelling, writing, and strategic communications. Colleen knew she wanted to combine her love of travel with a marketing and communications career, which led her to an internship at Break the Ice Media during her senior year.
Professional path
Colleen brings several years of tourism marketing experience to her position as a Digital Account Coordinator at BTI. After interning at BTI, she spent the next several years working in marketing for both a restaurant and a winery in Lake George, NY, one of the state’s busiest tourist destinations. As she was gaining valuable marketing experience, she also received her M.S. in Communications from Syracuse University.
Her unique perspective having worked in-house for businesses in the tourism industry allows her to see things from her client’s point of view. In her current role, she supports clients through content creation, public relations and digital marketing. Colleen is a Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate.
Inside the office she loves:
Collaborating with an amazing team that shows so much passion for the industry.
Outside the office she loves:
Spending time with friends and family. Getting outside in her hometown to go hiking, skiing, or paddle boarding. Exploring new places. Going to the lake. Reading a good book.
“Collaboration and teamwork are the keys to achieving success for your client.”
