Meet Lisa Doerner

Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

The backstory

Starting right out of college with Xerox Corporation set the groundwork for wonderful professional development opportunities and friendships. With a writing and communications background, Lisa quickly gravitated to marketing as a business focus. She also learned the value of developing strong relationships with business colleagues and clients.

Professional path

After working for 15 years at Xerox in various program management and marketing positions, Lisa took a role with Digital Rochester, our region’s preeminent organization for technology professionals. It was a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the Rochester region’s growing tech community and grow her leadership and interpersonal skills. After 14 years, it was time to try something new and totally different. Lisa joined the BTI team as the Executive Director for a major client in the travel and tourism industry in 2018. She leads the management team in developing operational and marketing strategies to help the client strengthen their partnerships, increase their business and expand their company tour portfolios.

Inside the office she loves:

Working with a talented, genuine team of professionals. Mentoring and reverse mentoring. Building relationships with stakeholders and connecting them with value. And of course, office visits from baby Camille.

Outside the office she loves:

Travel! Lisa’s grateful that family trips have taken her to fun places all over the world and she’s looking forward to knocking many more locations off of her bucket list. Checking out great restaurants, here or there. When home, Lisa loves gardening, boating, biking and hiking. She’s also always up for a chat over a glass of wine, or better yet, wine and chocolate!
